The old cliff baths of Enniscrone, County Sligo, Ireland
Well we made it! Walking on ancestral soil is a good feeling.
Our home is now in Inishcrone County Sligo on the Wild Atlantic Coast of Ireland. There won't be my favourite eucalyptus trees growing but it will be exciting to discover what is here growing in the soil. I am excited to try botanical printing here in Inishcrone.
I’ve been invited to run a botanical print workshop at Greywood Arts in Killeagh County Cork on May 1 as part of the May Sunday Festival and Art Trail. Last year I did a short residency there and discovered the beauty of Glenbower Woods located almost next door. I will be gathering utensils and pots from the charity shops for the workshop. There are local art material suppliers in Sligo, a short distance away.
I love the way layers of place are put down when you first move to a new place. Daily walks reveal a beautiful light at this seaside town.
Enniscrone Castle, Enniscrone Castle field walk and the Enniscrone beach.
